His work has been recently acquired for the permanent collections of the V&A and he is currently artist-in-residence for the House of Lords. The exhibition will show new work as well as pieces from his long and radical career, and will dramatically highlight his significance as an artist transversing the fields of design and art.

This is the second in a series of three exhibitions planned and curated in partnership between Ruthin Craft Centre and the Crafts Study Centre, Farnham.

Catrin Howell

Gallery 3
Born and brought up on a farm in west Wales it seems natural and even inevitable that animals should provide inspiration for Catrin’s work. She is interested in the roles that animals play in mythology, the way they are used to convey narratives, both ancient and contemporary.
This new body of work by Catrin, shown at Ruthin Craft Centre for the first time, follows an intensive period in the studio.
